Mr. Fruitness is the icon of the campaign “Fruitness”, encouraging children and parents to eat more fruit. The project is named “Fruitness, Enjoy It!” This project was created by the European Union, the CSO (Centro Servizi Ortofrutticoli) and the Italian government. The project was first founded in 2006 and was planned to initially continue for three years until 2009. Because of the positive response and the important achievements the project earned in the first three years, the EU, CSO and the Italian government have arranged a further fund of €3.5 million to continue the “Fruitness, Enjoy It” project for another three years until the year 2012.
Mr. Fruitness is the icon of the campaign, described as a man wearing a tight green superhero costume. He accumulates his energy from consuming fruit whilst fighting obesity and junk food. The project encourages children and parents to increase their fruit consumption and fight against obesity amongst children and adolescents in Austria, United Kingdom, Poland, Sweden and Germany. The website, http://www.fruitness.eu, is the official web site for the campaign that contains many interesting things for the children as well as for the parents.
Children can learn about the importance of consuming fruit whilst they get to know Mr. Fruitness and have fun with him and the Fruit Team by playing games. They can also make their own fruit avatar! The web site is great for the parents because they can find great facts about fruits and the fruit recipes for the whole family.
Doubling the Benefit of Tea

One of the best things you can do for your bones is to encourage good bone density growth. Dancing (Any type of dancing will work. Go at your own pace, and take breaks when you feel you need to.)

Jogging (If you don’t have good balance you should probably stick to a treadmill type of jogging routine.)

Stair climbing/Stair descending
Walking (If you are unsteady on your feet your doctor may recommend that you used an indoor treadmill. If you want to have the outdoors experience you can place the treadmill outdoors.)

You may already be doing some of these activities or maybe you used to do them at one point in your life. In either event participating in them will help you with building good bone density. No matter which activities you are participating in, or choose to participate in, it’s important to not overdue it. Alternating between different activities is also a great idea.
Because different activities tend to put stress on different parts of your body, when you alternate between these activities you will be helping different bones in your body. Switching off between these activities every two weeks or so will help stimulate the production of osteoblasts. Again, be sure to consult with your doctor to make sure that any activities or combination of activities are appropriate for you and your medical condition.
